TASTING HALL
Here for 1 day, 70 single-malt brands from Scotland and Asia, bourbon and Irish whiskey will settle together. We will try them for 1 dram - 20 ml (from 20 UAH).
BRAND-AMBASSADORS
Karen Fullerton of Glenmorangie, who recently represented the brand in Shanghai Whiskey Live; Ashok Chokalingam, the ambassador of the acclaimed Indian whiskey Amrut; John Quinn, who worked for Tullamor Dew since 1974 and named Whiskey Brand Ambassador of the year in 2016; Andy Bell - Ambassador Arran, whiskey expert Erkin Tuzmukhammedov, Vaneja Solovieva - ambassador of whiskey Macallan, Mikhail Kalachev from Bruichladdich, Steven Cameron - Gordon & MacPhail, Edgar Grisulis and David Mudra - Four Roses, Hag Mak Gaban - Teeling, Alison Spovart - Ian Macleod, Erwin Trykowski - Singleton, Kalum Fraser - Loch Lomond Group, Sayuma Oyama - amba squat Nikka and other equally interesting guests.
THE ROOM OF COLLECTION WHISKEY SELECTIVE WHISKY
For rare and exclusive drinks a special room is selected - Selective Whiskey. There are closed distilleries, rare releases and the last bottles of outstanding single malts - all that collectors hunt for around the world. You can not drink such positions in Kiev often, if not practically never. And the prices for them grow every year. Naturally, all this can be tried portionwise.
ZONE OF LECTURES
This year the festival will be held on two floors of the Park location. The expansion of the area was demanded by a separate food-pairing zone with master classes on a mix of whiskey and a larger number of lectures delivered by ambassadors. We decided not to translate foreign guests from English, so as not to lose important details of fascinating stories in the process. This time the lectures will be held in 4 halls located on the third floor.
FOOD-PAIRING
The zone of Food Pairing is an absolute innovation and deserves attention of those who prefer to taste whiskey slowly, accompanied by their favorite food. We invited iconic chefs, each with his own vision of a combination of whiskey and food. For example, Vladimir Tashaev (brand-chief First Line Group, chief of restaurants "Beloved uncle" and "Life of remarkable people") undertook to experiment with aging of whiskey in different barrels and together with the whiskey dispenser Arran Whiskey Andy Bell will present his vision of what the meal should look like, if you prefer whiskey from the Highland region. And Vladimir Yaroslavsky, the chef of the LUCKY restaurant, together with the ambassador of Benriach Distillery, undertook the interpretation of the Speyside region, however, Chef of the CHI restaurant Jason Young and Girdhari Vishvakarma in the company of the Glenfiddich Ambassador Alexander Ivchenko are also moving in the same direction.
COFFEE AND FOOD
For the time of the festival, the Yellow Place coffee shop will move from the Good Wine to the tasting room. The guys are preparing 5 versions of Irish Whiskey for Tyrconell (Ireland), Glendronach (Scotland), Glenglassaugh, Nikka (Japan), Amrut (India), Four Roses small batch (USA). They say that no one has had so many variations.
Under the food this year, a separate zone is located on the third floor. Here, all you need to satisfy hunger and rest from tastings: hot dogs, nourishing soups and dense desserts.
ZONE PUBLIC TALK
The concept of this zone can be described briefly: from nonprofessionals to professionals. We invited a few whiskey maniacs who will talk about traveling to the distillery in Ayl, share experiences in the formation of whiskey-collections, as well as their own projects of aging whiskey in barrels, including from Ukrainian wine. The area is open to all guests of the festival.
WHISKY BAR
Of all the other innovations, the bar deserves special attention. Here, the 7 best bartenders of Ukraine for 1 day will become a big family. Their task is to get closer and offer their vision of modern cocktails based on single malt whiskey. On the third floor in the bar area you will be waited by: Nadir Kuchkarov (Hendrick's Bar) with Peat November cocktail on the basis of BenRiach, Victor Pravosudov (chief barman WineBureau and brand ambazador Amaro Montenegro) and his Velvet on the basis of bourbon Four Roses, Irina Mashikhina (boutiquebar BIANCORO) and the autumn cocktail The Irish Pear at Tullamore Dew, Sasha Skubach (ex-bartender Hendrick's bar that's True Burger Bar, founder of the Tap's project) with a cocktail AKKI on the Japanese Nikka, Nazar Makarov (BARVY) and Old and Fashioned on based on Monkey Shoulder, Andrey Kuzhavsky (RAY, Mr. ZUMA, Mercato Italiano) with a cocktail of Monkey Catcher on Amrut and beautiful Elia Mikhailenko (BarmenDiktat), chief bartender bar Whiskey Dram.
SCORE
All presented drinks, as well as glasses and accessories will be available at the pop store Good Wine on the first floor. On this day, a special price will apply for all single malts -10%. In addition to whiskey, here you can buy a T-shirt, sweetshot and other merchandise.
